Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your learning experience. This policy outlines our refund, cancellation, and rescheduling terms. All requests must be submitted in writing via email.

1. Contract Commitment Terms

Our courses have different minimum commitment periods. By enrolling, you agree to these terms:

Standard Courses (2-Month Commitment):

  • Minimum Term: 2 months from enrollment date
  • Automatic Renewal: Subscription renews monthly after the initial commitment period
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime after 2 months, effective at end of current billing cycle
  • Early Termination: Cancellation within the 2-month commitment period is not eligible for refund

Intensive Courses (3-Month Commitment):

  • Minimum Term: 3 months from enrollment date
  • Automatic Renewal: Subscription renews monthly after the initial commitment period
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime after 3 months, effective at end of current billing cycle
  • Early Termination: Cancellation within the 3-month commitment period is not eligible for refund

Conversation Courses & Private 1-on-1 (No Minimum Commitment):

  • Flexible: Monthly subscription with no minimum commitment
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime before next billing cycle

2. Cancellation Policy & Fees

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email. The following fees apply based on when you cancel:

Important Cancellation Rules:

  • Proof (e.g., medical certificate, visa rejection) may be required for cancellations due to special circumstances
  • No refunds for course withdrawal or interruptions after the course has started
  • Missed course days cannot be made up or refunded
  • After a course rescheduling, cancellation is no longer possible

3. Refunds After Course Start

  • First Week: Within First Week: 50% refund minus €50 admin fee if you have attended 0-1 classes and cancel within 7 days of course start
  • After First Week: After First Week: No refunds after attending 2 or more classes. You may cancel your subscription to avoid billing for the following month (subject to commitment terms above)
  • Emergency: Emergency Situations: Evaluated on a case-by-case basis with valid documentation

4. Rescheduling Policy

If you need to change your course start date, rescheduling is available subject to the following fees and conditions:

Rescheduling Rules:

  • Maximum Postponement: Course can be rescheduled by a maximum of 3 months
  • One-Time Only: Only one rescheduling is allowed per enrollment
  • Same Level Only: Rescheduling is only permitted within the same course level
  • Subject to Availability: Rescheduling is subject to availability in the target cohort
  • Price Difference: If course fees differ between the original and new course, you must pay the difference
  • After Rescheduling: Once rescheduled, cancellation is no longer possible
  • Documentation: Proof may be required (medical certificate, visa issues, etc.)

Transfer to Another Person:

You may transfer your course enrollment to another person under the following conditions:

  • Transfer Fee: €75
  • Level Verification: The new participant must prove the required language level
  • Final Transfer: The new participant cannot reschedule or cancel the course again
  • Terms Acceptance: By accepting the transfer, the new participant accepts these terms and conditions

5. Private 1-on-1 Subscriptions

Monthly Subscription:

  • No Minimum Commitment: Flexible monthly subscription
  • First Month: Full refund within 7 days if no sessions have been used
  • Unused Sessions: Credits roll over to the next month as long as the subscription is active
  • Cancel Anytime: Cancel before next billing date, effective at the end of current billing cycle

6. Visa Rejection Policy

If your visa is rejected:

  • Full refund minus €75 processing fee with valid official rejection documentation
  • Alternatively, you may reschedule to a future cohort at no additional fee
  • Documentation must be submitted within 14 days of rejection date

7. Payment Methods & Refund Processing

  • Payment Methods: We accept payments via Stripe (credit/debit cards)
  • Refund Processing: Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days
  • Bank Processing: Your bank may take an additional 3-5 business days to reflect the refund
  • Original Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method

8. Subscription Management

  • Cancel via Dashboard: Log in and use the 'Manage Subscription' portal via Stripe to cancel before the next renewal date
  • No Partial Refunds: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled

9. Force Majeure

In cases of events beyond our control (pandemic, natural disaster, etc.), we may offer:

  • Free rescheduling to a future cohort
  • Course credit for future use
  • Transition to online format if applicable

10. How to Request a Refund or Rescheduling

All requests must be submitted in writing via email:

  1. Email with your full name, order number, and reason for request support@weg2de.com
  2. Include relevant documentation if applicable (medical certificate, visa rejection, etc.)
  3. Specify whether you are requesting a refund, rescheduling, or transfer
  4. We'll review and respond within 2 business days
  5. Once approved, refunds will be processed within 14 business days; rescheduling will be confirmed based on availability
